Angela Loureiro had her first contact with Laban/Bartenieff System through Regina Miranda’s work and her Companhia de Atores Bailarinos do Rio de Janeiro of which creation Angela participated in 1978. As a dancer, choreography assistant, coach and teacher, her experience extends to the fields of dance, theater and cinema. Graduated in History, her interest leant towards the history of brazilian medical sciences. In 1995, she got her certificate in the Laban/Bartenieff Institute for Movement Studies, under the orientation of Peggy Hackney. In 1999, she graduated in Laban Kinetography in the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris, supervised by Jacqueline Challet-Haas with whom she has colaborated notating the Bartenieff Fundamentals. Angela Loureiro has lived in France since 1988, where she works with different population groups – professionals and students of dance, theatre and singing; nurses in training, psychomotriens, older adults – and has, through master classes, workshops, lectures and teaching, contributed to diffuse Laban-Bartenieff System.

Angela Loureiro sa prvýkrát stretla so systémom Laban/Bartenieff prostredníctvom práce Reginy Mirandy a jej súboru Companhia de Atores Bailarinos do Rio de Janeiro. V ich choreografii sa Angela predstavila v roku 1978. Ako tanečnica, asistentka choreografie, pedagogička, svoje skúsenosti získavala na poli tanca, divadla a filmu. Vyštudovala dejiny, zaujímala sa najmä o históriu brazílskych lekárskych vied. V roku 1995 získala certifikát Laban/Bartenieff Institute for Movement Studies, pod vedením Peggy Hackney. V roku 1999 ukončila Laban Kinetography na Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et Danse de Paris, pod vedením Jacqueline Challet-Haas, s ktorou spolupracovala na zázname Bartenieff Fundamentals. Angela Loureiro žije od roku 1988 v Paríži, kde pracuje s rôznymi skupinami ľudí – profesionálmi a študentami tanca, divadla a spevu, budúcimi zdravotnými sestrami, ľuďmi vo vyššom veku a so psychomotorickými problémami. Prostredníctvom svojich master class, kurzov, prednášok a vzdelávacích aktivít výrazne prispieva k šíreniu systému Laban-Bartenieff.
