Deborah Heifetz-Yahav, Ph.D. is a Research Fellow at the Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism, Interdisciplinary Center, Herzlyia Israel and a trained Laban Movement Analysist (C.M.A.). She holds a B.A. in Genetics (U.C. Berkeley), M.A. in Dance (U.C.L.A.), and Ph.D. in Social Anthropology (Tel Aviv University). Heifetz-Yahav is a Chevening Scholar, advises the crisis management team of the Israeli security forces and on faculty at the Lauder School of Government and Diplomacy, where she teaches Cultural Perspectives of Conflict Management; Gender and Terrorism.
